๐ฌ Your Role
As a Science Teacher, you will:
- ๐งช Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging and appropriately challenging Science lessons across the relevant key stages.
- ๐งฌ Inspire pupils through practical, investigative and theoretical science.
- ๐ Develop pupils' knowledge and understanding across areas such as Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as appropriate to the curriculum.
- ๐ฏ Set consistently high expectations for achievement, behaviour and personal development.
- ๐ Monitor pupil progress and use assessment effectively to identify gaps, misconceptions and next steps.
- ๐ง Develop pupils' scientific thinking, problem-solving, analysis and critical-thinking skills.
- ๐ Encourage pupils to ask questions, investigate evidence and develop an understanding of scientific methodology.
- ๐ง๐ฌ Promote safe and responsible participation in practical scientific activities.
- ๐ฉ๐ซ Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
- ๐ค Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department and across the wider school.
- ๐ Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- ๐ฑ Support pupils' wider development and prepare them for further education, employment and life beyond school.
- ๐ซ Contribute positively to the wider life and culture of the school.

We are seeking a teacher who can demonstrate:
โ Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science and the ability to teach across the relevant key stages.
- A genuine passion for Science and the ability to communicate that enthusiasm to young people.
- High expectations of every pupil, regardless of background or starting point.
- The ability to plan and deliver effective, engaging and purposeful lessons.
- Strong classroom-management and behaviour-management skills.
