Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Mansfield. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and improve outcomes.
- Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and assist with classroom management.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs when required.
- Assist with extracurricular activities, educational visits, and school events.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with children.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
