We are seeking an enthusiastic KS3 SEN Teacher to join a supportive and nurturing specialist setting in Street. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who require additional support to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a KS3 SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons for KS3 pupils
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
  • Foster positive relationships and support pupil wellbeing
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
  • Manage behaviour positively and effectively
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers and external agencies
  • Create a safe, supportive and stimulating classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate

✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)

✅ Experience working with SEN pupils or a strong interest in specialist education

✅ Excellent classroom management skills

✅ Patient, resilient and adaptable approach

✅ Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies

✅ Passion for helping young people reach their full potential

✅ Knowledge of SEMH, Autism or learning difficulties is desirable
