Maths Teacher – Secondary School

Pay: £140–£240 per day*
We are working with a welcoming secondary school in Darlington seeking to appoint a dedicated Maths Teacher from September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support students of varying abilities, and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback to students and parents/carers.
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching resources.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and well-managed classroom.
- Identify learning needs and provide targeted support where required.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching GCSE Maths in a secondary school.
Experience & Skills
- Experience teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum.
