Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Support Specialist to join our team, providing tailored support in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to individuals with complex needs, including SEND, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs, in educational or care settings.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans based on assessments and ongoing evaluations of each person’s needs.
  • Assist in the delivery of specialised educational programmes and activities tailored to individual learning requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support.
  • Monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment where each individual can thrive.
  • Promote positive behaviour and well-being, offering emotional and practical support where necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A relevant qualification in health and social care, special education, or a related field (Minimum Level 3).
  • Additional training in behaviour management, de-escalation techniques, or other relevant areas.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, best practices, and safeguarding requirements for individuals with SEND and additional needs.
  • Proven experience working with individuals with complex needs, particularly those with SEND, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs.
  • Strong understanding of the unique learning, emotional, and behavioural needs of individuals with additional needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and engage with individuals of all ages.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to changing needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
