Do you have a kind heart, a steady hand, and a passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing? We’re looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Catholic primary school community, working with pupils in Key Stage 1—including those with SEND and some personal care needs.

This is more than a classroom role. It’s a chance to be part of a school where faith, care, and community spirit guide everything they do, embracing pupils and staff from all backgrounds with open arms.

About the role
You’ll be supporting children in KS1, helping them feel confident, included, and ready to learn each day. Your role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom

  • Assisting with personal care where required

  • Working closely with teachers and staff to create a warm, engaging learning space

  • Encouraging pupils to live out the school’s Gospel values in daily life and learning

A school that lives its values
This is a school guided by the call to “Aspire not to have more, but to be more.” Every part of school life is shaped by virtues like compassion, gratitude, and justice. Staff work together to create a space where children feel loved, valued, and inspired to be their best selves—academically, socially, and spiritually.

What makes you a great fit?

  • Experience supporting children in school settings, especially those with SEND

  • A caring, patient, and respectful approach

  • Willingness to support with personal care as needed

  • Comfortable working in a Catholic school environment and open to its ethos

Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, if you’re drawn to a role where care and community come first, this could be your perfect next step.

Apply now through Protocol Education and become part of a school family where every day brings purpose, joy, and the chance to make a lasting difference.
