We’re working closely with a genuinely welcoming primary school in the BS4 area, the kind of place where staff look out for each other and every child is known by name. They’re looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible and become a valued part of the classroom.
This is a brilliant opportunity if you’re looking for something stable and meaningful. The role will run for the rest of the academic year and into September 2026, with a strong chance of becoming permanent for the right person.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting children across Key Stage 1 in a lively, engaging classroom
- Working alongside the class teacher to bring lessons to life
- Delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support where it matters most
- Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs
- Helping build confidence, independence, and a real love of learning
- Creating a calm, inclusive space where every child feels supported
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a KS1 setting, school-based experience is a bonus
- Some experience with SEN, or a genuine interest in developing your skills here
- A calm, patient approach and a natural ability to connect with young learners
- Someone reliable, proactive, and ready to get stuck in
- A team player who builds strong relationships with both pupils and staff
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to get one
What you can expect from Protocol Education:
- A long-term role in a supportive, community-driven school
- The chance to secure a permanent position
- Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
- Ongoing support from a consultant who genuinely gets it
- Access to free CPD, including training that helps you grow in SEN support
If you’re someone who enjoys those small wins, the lightbulb moments, the confidence boosts, this could be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
We’d love to hear from you.
