SEND Behaviour & Learning Mentor – Ferryhill (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Behaviour & Learning Mentor for a specialist school in Ferryhill.
Working with pupils who have a range of additional needs, you'll provide the consistency, encouragement and positive role modelling they need to engage with education. The school offers a structured and supportive environment where staff work together to help every pupil make progress.
The role
You'll be responsible for:
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage challenges
- Building positive relationships based on trust
- Supporting classroom learning and individual targets
- Developing pupils' confidence and independence
- Reinforcing positive choices and achievements
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
