You know your way around a classroom.
You can lead a lesson, keep things on track, and step in when needed without missing a beat. You’re not just supporting, you’re making things happen.
Sound like you?
We’re working with a range of welcoming primary schools across Southwark who are looking for experienced HLTAs to join them in long-term roles, supporting teaching and learning across the school.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading whole-class sessions when teachers are out or during PPA time
- Supporting lesson delivery and keeping pupils engaged
- Working across different year groups, keeping things fresh and varied
- Supporting planning and adapting activities where needed
- Being a reliable, go-to presence for both staff and pupils
You’ll be trusted to step up, take the lead, and keep the day running smoothly.
What schools are looking for
- HLTA status or strong experience in a similar role
- Confidence leading a class independently
- Solid understanding of the primary curriculum
- A calm, organised approach with strong behaviour management
- Someone who can slot into a team and hit the ground running
This is a role for someone who knows their value and wants to use it.
What you’ll get in return
- Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
- Long-term roles where you can really settle in
- Support from a consultant who understands your experience
- Access to CPD to keep developing your skills
- Opportunities across a range of supportive, well-run schools
If you’re ready for a role where you’re trusted, respected, and given the space to do what you do best, this could be a great fit.
