We’re working with a number of mainstream primary schools across Lambeth with dedicated SEN units, and they’re looking for SEN Support Assistants who can bring patience, consistency, and a calm approach to support pupils who need a little extra help to thrive.
What the role looks like
- Supporting pupils within specialist SEN units inside mainstream schools
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Helping pupils with autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs access the curriculum
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
- Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Every day is different, but the impact you make is constant.

- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A calm, patient, and understanding approach
- Confidence in managing behaviour in a supportive, consistent way
- Someone who can build trust and strong relationships over time
- A genuine passion for helping every child feel seen and supported
