Protocol Education are currently recruiting SEND experienced teaching assistants to in an outstanding primary school in North Bristol for the next academic year. This dynamic school offers teaching assistant the chance to work 1:1 across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. There are many CPD opportunities on offer, including free Thrive training and access to Team Teach courses.

This particular school are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children who require additional support, and are passionate about making a positive impact in students learning and development in a creative way. No specific experience is required, but commitment, passion and dedication are key attributes the school are looking for. Experience with SEND support, even if it is not directly in a school context, is highly desirable.

As a teaching assistant you will be working with pupils with special needs that include autism, speech and language difficulties and complex needs. If successful you will support students with their set curriculum, both in and out of the classroom.

  • Monday to Friday, 08.30-15.30
  • A year long role, offering consistent work
  • Working with special needs such as autism, speech & language and learning difficulties
  • Working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Developing students communication and social awareness, and improve their academic performance
  • Opportunity to developing students learning on a one to one basis
  • Assisting in key subjects such as tailored numeracy & literacy
  • Supporting students in creative lessons such as art, music, swimming and cooking
