We're on the lookout for caring, resilient Behaviour Mentors to support children and young people in schools across Horfield and the wider Bristol area. No two days are the same, but one thing stays constant, the impact you'll have on a child's confidence, wellbeing, and learning journey.
Whether you've worked in schools, supported young people through sports or youth work, or have hands-on SEN experience, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting pupils who need a little extra help with behaviour and emotional regulation
- Building positive, trusting relationships that help children thrive
- Working alongside teachers and SEN teams to create calm, supportive learning environments
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and those all-important lightbulb moments
What we're looking for
You don't need formal qualifications for this role. What matters most is patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm when things get a bit lively.
Experience we'd love to see:
- SEN experience
- Previous work in schools
- Youth work, coaching, mentoring, or support work backgrounds
If you've helped children overcome challenges and celebrate small wins, you'll fit right in.
Requirements
To keep our schools and pupils safe, you'll need:
- An enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service
- 24 months of references covering your recent experience
