We are looking for a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming Primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by helping students develop confidence, independence, and key learning skills.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Support students in their learning activities both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis
- Provide assistance with personal care needs as required
- Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or individuals with SEND ( on schools setting or Personal experience)
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Education:
Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs is desirable but not mandatory.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
- Work within a school environment
- Potential for additional training and development opportunities
- Reduced Classes (7-9 students)
