MFL Teacher

Location: Telford
Job Type: Contract
Reference: 311035158
Salary: £150 - £220/day
Job Published: 26 June 2026

We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Telford that’s looking for an enthusiastic MFL teacher to join their team from September.

This is a school where high expectations meet a genuinely supportive and inclusive culture. Pupils are encouraged to think for themselves, share their ideas, and develop into confident, independent young people. Respect, responsibility, and resilience aren’t just words on a poster, they’re part of everyday school life.

For this school, languages are about much more than exams. They’re about curiosity, connection, and opening doors to different cultures and experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to create lessons that go beyond the textbook, helping students see how language links them to the wider world.

Whether you’re introducing a new culture, sparking a debate, or helping a student find their confidence speaking another language, you’ll play a key role in making MFL feel exciting and relevant.

A school where teachers feel supported

You’ll be joining a welcoming department where ideas are shared, creativity is encouraged, and teachers are trusted to bring their own style into the classroom.

Behaviour is strong, pupils are ready to learn, and there’s a real sense of teamwork across the school. From your first day, you’ll be part of a community where colleagues support each other and work together to help every student succeed.

Values, safeguarding and curriculum

The school places a strong focus on developing well-rounded young people. British values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for different beliefs, are naturally woven into lessons and discussions.

Through PSHCE, SMSC, and wider curriculum opportunities, pupils explore different cultures, faiths, and perspectives, helping them understand the world around them.

Safeguarding is at the heart of the school’s approach. Strong systems, clear expectations, and a culture of care help create a safe environment where students can thrive.
