As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to support pupils' academic, social and emotional development, helping to create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Your Responsibilities
- Support pupils individually, in small groups or within the whole class.
- Help children access learning by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
- Provide encouragement and build pupils' confidence, independence and engagement.
- Support children with additional needs, including SEND, where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
- Assist with classroom preparation, resources and daily routines.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, positive and proactive approach.
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, youth work, sports coaching or similar settings is desirable but not essential.
- A willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting.
