Business/Economics Academic Mentor
Hours: Full Time, 8:20 am – 3:30 pm
Setting: Mainstream Secondary School, supporting students aged 11-18 years
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support and guidance to students in Business and Economics, helping them reach their full potential.
- Assist classroom teachers with lesson planning, delivery, and assessment in Business and Economics subjects.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage students, fostering participation and enthusiasm in Business and Economics.
- Track and report on student progress, identifying areas needing additional support.
- Create and update learning materials and resources to enhance the educational experience in Business and Economics.
- Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external stakeholders to support students' academic and personal development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education and mentorship.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in teaching or mentoring in Business and Economics is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and engage students.
- Passion for education, commitment to student success, and a collaborative approach to working with others.
