Art Teacher (Supply) - Full Time

Are you a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the South Leeds area on a full-time supply basis from January.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young people through art, creativity and self-expression within a supportive and well-resourced department. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and committed to helping students develop both their artistic skills and confidence.

The Role

  • Full-time Art Teacher position
  • January start
  • Teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
  • Encouraging creativity and participation in a range of artistic disciplines
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Supporting students to achieve their full potential both academically and creatively

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Art within a UK secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education
  • The ability to inspire, engage and motivate learners of all abilities
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Strong organisational and communication abilities
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
