Are you the kind of Teaching Assistant who can build a connection with a child, recognise when they need space or reassurance, and help them develop the confidence to succeed independently?
We’re looking for a warm, patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with an EHCP within a supportive junior school.
No two children learn in exactly the same way, so you’ll adapt your approach around the individual. You’ll provide 1:1 classroom support, help with emotional regulation and engagement, adapt learning activities and encourage greater independence.
You’ll also have opportunities to deliver interventions to small groups across areas such as literacy, numeracy and social skills.
We’d love to hear from candidates with experience of:
- Autism and neurodivergence
- SEMH needs
- Emotional regulation
- Positive behaviour support
- EHCPs
- 1:1 SEND support
Above all, you’ll need to be consistent, empathetic, resilient and genuinely passionate about inclusion.
If you’re looking for a long-term role where you can see the difference your support makes, apply today.
