Protocol Education is currently recruiting caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in supportive schools and specialist provisions across Swindon.
Whether you're looking for a full-time position or the flexibility of supply work, we have a range of rewarding opportunities available for candidates who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties.
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Implementing personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have at least 6 months' experience working with children or young people in an SEN, education, childcare, or support setting.
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs.
- Are patient, resilient, caring, and adaptable.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
