Primary Teacher – Barnsley

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Barnsley.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, support pupils' academic and personal development, and create a positive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor pupils' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Support pupils with additional and special educational needs.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Develop strong and positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Work effectively with Teaching Assistants and other school staff.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and assessment.
• Participate in school meetings, activities and professional development.
• Follow safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all pupils.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Passionate about primary education and children's learning.
• Creative, enthusiastic and able to deliver engaging lessons.
• Confident in classroom and behaviour management.
• Able to adapt teaching to support pupils with different abilities and needs.
• A strong communicator and effective team player.
• Caring, patient and committed to helping every child succeed.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Experience

Previous experience teaching in a primary school is desirable. Applications are also welcomed from ECTs who are looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive school environment.
