Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – North Tyneside
Full-Time / Pay: £89-£106

Are you looking for a rewarding role where every day brings a new opportunity to help young learners thrive?

Whether you’re a recent graduate exploring a career in education or someone with a natural flair for helping children succeed, this Learning Support Assistant role in North Tyneside could be the perfect fit.

Why North Tyneside?
This coastal borough blends city convenience with seaside charm. With great transport links, plenty of green spaces, and a strong sense of community, it’s a brilliant place to work—and unwind after school. There’s something comforting about grabbing a coffee with a sea view, especially after a busy day in the classroom.

Who We’re Looking For:
You don’t need formal classroom experience—we’re after personality, passion, and a real drive to make a difference. If you’re:

  • Patient, empathetic, and great at building relationships with children

  • Proactive and ready to adapt to different classroom situations

  • A clear communicator who can support behaviour positively

  • Keen to learn and grow with the support of an experienced team

…then you’re already halfway there.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups, particularly those with additional learning needs

  • Helping teachers deliver engaging, accessible lessons

  • Creating a calm and inclusive classroom atmosphere

  • Encouraging pupils to build confidence and social skills

  • Contributing to progress tracking and classroom organisation

What’s in it for you?

  • A welcoming, supportive school team that values every role

  • Ongoing CPD and support from Protocol Education

  • Weekly pay through PAYE—no umbrella company fuss

  • Career-building experience in one of the North East’s friendliest boroughs

Bonus: Got a degree or relevant youth work/childcare experience? Great—but it’s not essential. What matters most is your approach.
