Protocol Education are working in partnership with a welcoming BS3 Secondary School to recruit Maths students and graduates to work as Unqualified Teachers / Cover Supervisors and become part of the school’s day-to-day learning community (whether part time around studies or full-time post-studies).

This role is ideal for anyone studying Maths, Engineering, Economics or a related subject who wants practical experience working with young people.

You’ll step in for absent teachers, primarily covering Maths lessons, while also being willing to support across other subjects if needed. Lessons are fully planned, so you’ll focus on classroom management, guiding pupils through tasks and keeping learning purposeful and calm.

You’ll be a steady, encouraging presence in the classroom, supporting pupils to stay focused while maintaining clear expectations.

No previous school experience is required. Full training is provided free of charge.

The School

This is a well-regarded BS3 secondary school with a strong sense of community and belonging. Students are known, supported and encouraged to achieve their best, and staff work together to create a respectful, positive culture.

The school values respect, determination, preparedness for learning and clear expectations. Learning is taken seriously, with a broad, balanced curriculum designed by subject specialists who value both creativity and academic rigour.

Behaviour expectations are clear and well embedded, helping maximise learning time and ensuring cover staff feel supported from day one.

The school is keen to find reliable, punctual Unqualified Teachers who want to become part of the school community, not just drop in and out.
