SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton

Protocol Education is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive partner schools in Merton.
You will be working with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). This role requires patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and differentiated activities
- Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic progress
- Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate progress notes and contribute to reviews
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (school or similar setting)
- Calm, proactive, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
