We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Dewsbury. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to healthy, active lifestyles. The role includes contributing to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and wider school activities while maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across the curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress and achievement.
  • Promote participation, sportsmanship, and physical wellbeing.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Support and lead extracurricular sports activities and school competitions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physical Education.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
