About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, caring and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching and personalised support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupils' needs.
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
- Develop and implement personalised learning and support plans.
- Monitor, assess and record pupils' progress and development.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to remove barriers to learning.
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence, communication and independence.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, parents and external professionals.
- Create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
- Contribute to meetings, reviews and wider school activities.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN.
- Patient, compassionate and understanding.
- Experienced or confident in adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Skilled in positive behaviour management.
- A strong communicator and effective team player.
- Able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Experience with SEN
Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, communication and interaction needs, learning difficulties, behavioural needs or other additional needs would be highly desirable.
