We are working with a welcoming secondary school in Harrow looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join their specialist team.
The Role
You will be supporting secondary-aged students with a range of SEND and complex needs, creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons
- Supporting students with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties
- Creating individualised learning activities based on students' needs
- Managing behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
- Tracking progress and contributing to EHCP and individual targets
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals
- Promoting independence, communication and confidence
We Are Looking For
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching within SEND / specialist settings
- Experience supporting students with complex needs
- Strong behaviour management and classroom skills
- Patient, enthusiastic and committed approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must hold a Child & Adult DBS
