Are you a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training and a strong background in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)? We are currently recruiting for experienced professionals to work across a range of specialist provisions supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The Role:

You will be working in specialist schools or alternative provisions that cater to pupils with complex needs such as:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties

  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

  • ADHD, speech and language needs, and other SEND profiles

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis in the classroom

  • Using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies in line with Team Teach training

  • Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans

  • Helping to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

  • Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external agencies

Requirements:

  • Team Teach certificate (current or recently expired)

  • Previous experience in a SEND or alternative provision setting

  • A calm, nurturing, and patient attitude

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students who present with challenging behaviour

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
