Looking for a school where creativity is genuinely valued?

We’re working with a welcoming secondary school that believes education is about more than just results. Yes, exams matter, but so does helping young people become confident, curious individuals who understand themselves and the world around them.

They’re looking for an Art Teacher to join their team from September, teaching across KS3 and KS4 in a school where creativity, character and community are at the centre of everything they do.

What makes this school different?

This is a school that doesn’t just focus on ticking boxes. Everything they do is built around three key values: Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.

You’ll see these values in action every day, from the way students support each other to the way staff work together. It’s a place where challenges are met with patience, care and a genuine belief that every student can grow.

The Art department plays an important role in bringing this vision to life. Students are encouraged to explore ideas, experiment with different techniques and develop their own creative voice. Whether they’re working with new materials, exploring different artists or creating personal projects, pupils are given the confidence to take creative risks and enjoy the journey, not just focus on the finished piece.

Alongside academic learning, the school places real importance on personal development. Students are encouraged to think independently, appreciate different perspectives and explore the world through creativity and culture.

The role

You’ll be:

• Teaching Art across KS3 and KS4
• Creating engaging, practical lessons that inspire creativity and curiosity
• Encouraging students to experiment and develop confidence in their own ideas
• Building a classroom where individuality is celebrated and every student feels valued
• Contributing to a wider school community that cares about character as much as achievement

What we’re looking for

• UK QTS or equivalent
• Experience teaching Art at secondary level
• Someone who builds strong relationships and creates a positive classroom environment
• A teacher who believes creativity can make a real difference
• Positive, adaptable and ready to make an impact from day one

Why this role?

If you’re looking for a school where you’re trusted to bring your subject to life, supported by colleagues who genuinely care, and part of a community with a bigger purpose, this could be the role for you.

It’s a place where students are encouraged to think differently, teachers are valued, and creativity has the space to shine.
