Pay: £98–£120 per day

Protocol Education are looking for an Active Learning Support Assistant to work within a specialist school setting in South Shields.
We're looking for someone who can bring energy and enthusiasm to the school day and use sport, activity and shared interests to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
You Could Be Supporting Pupils With:
- SEMH needs
- Behavioural difficulties
- Low confidence
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Additional learning needs
- Barriers to engagement
What You'll Do
- Support pupils within lessons
- Work 1:1 and in small groups
- Support physical activities
- Assist with PE
- Encourage positive behaviour
- Build strong relationships
- Help pupils develop confidence
- Encourage teamwork
- Support pupils during less structured parts of the day
- Act as a positive role model
Who We're Looking For
You don't need to be a qualified teacher.
We're interested in people with backgrounds in:
Football | Rugby | Boxing | Fitness | Athletics | PE | Gymnastics | Martial Arts | Coaching | Youth Work | Teaching Assistance
You should be confident, patient, energetic and genuinely interested in helping young people progress.
Immediate Start
Immediate starts are available for suitable candidates.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is advantageous.
If you don't currently have an Enhanced DBS, you will need to be able to apply for one immediately so that the required safeguarding checks can be completed.
