This is an excellent opportunity for a General Cover Teacher to work with pupils across KS3 - KS5

The Role

  • Position: General Cover Teacher
  • Location: Darlington
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Age Range: KS3-KS5
  • Experience: Primary and/or Secondary teaching experience welcomed
  • Essential: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

As a General Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain positive classroom environments, and ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences. Opportunities are available on a daily, short-term, and long-term basis.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed teachers who:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and/or a relevant teaching qualification
  • Are passionate about helping every pupil succeed, regardless of background or ability
  • Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across a range of subjects
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Have experience working with pupils with SEMH and/or ASD
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
  • Demonstrate resilience, professionalism, and a commitment to pupil wellbeing
  • Are keen to develop their skills and engage in ongoing professional development
