Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location:

Greater London, Tower Hamlets

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work full-time hours

Salary:

£90 - £120 per day (Dependent on Experience)

Job Duties:

• Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the classroom
• Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for SEND students
• Providing one-to-one support to help students with their learning and development
• Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support

Required Qualifications:

• Experience working with children or young adults with SEND
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience working in a school or educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with SEND

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
• Training in specific interventions for supporting SEND students

Working Conditions:

• Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Working in a classroom setting with students with SEND
