Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Greater London, Tower Hamlets
Job Type:
Contract, expected to work full-time hours
Salary:
£90 - £120 per day (Dependent on Experience)
Job Duties:
- Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the classroom
- Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for SEND students
- Providing one-to-one support to help students with their learning and development
- Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young adults with SEND
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with SEND
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- Training in specific interventions for supporting SEND students
Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Working in a classroom setting with students with SEND
