Tiny humans, big personalities, and a classroom full of curiosity. Sound like your kind of thing?

We’re working with a lovely primary school in Leeds looking for a Year 1 Teacher who knows how to make learning feel exciting, structured, and full of confidence-building moments. This is a permanent opportunity in a supportive school where teamwork actually means teamwork, not just sharing biscuits in the staffroom.

The school is looking for someone who can create calm routines, bring phonics to life, and help little learners settle into their KS1 journey with confidence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Teaching a settled and well-supported Year 1 class
  • Creating engaging lessons that spark curiosity
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and parents
  • Working alongside an experienced KS1 team
  • Helping children grow in confidence, independence, and learning

What the school would love:

  • UK QTS
  • A nurturing and organised teaching style
  • Strong knowledge of KS1 curriculum and phonics
  • Someone who enjoys making learning fun without the classroom chaos

What’s in it for you:

  • Permanent contract from day one
  • Supportive SLT who value staff wellbeing
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Friendly school community with a welcoming vibe
  • Access to excellent CPD and mentoring
