Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEMH Support Workers to work across a range of SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools throughout Bristol.
This rewarding role involves supporting students who may face social, emotional, behavioural, or mental health challenges, helping them engage positively with education and develop essential life skills.
The Role
As an SEMH Support Worker, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Encourage engagement in learning and school activities.
- Assist teachers and school staff in creating a positive learning environment.
- Promote confidence, independence, and personal development.
- Act as a positive role model for students.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals with experience in:
- SEMH, SEN, or alternative provision settings.
- Youth work, residential care, mentoring, or coaching.
- Mental health support roles.
- Sports coaching, teaching assistance, or support work.
- Working with children and young people in any capacity.
Successful candidates will be:

- Confident managing challenging behaviour.
- Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people.
- Excellent communicators with a proactive attitude.

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults is desirable
