Protocol Education are recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants for schools across South Shields.

We're particularly interested in hearing from TAs who have experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting pupils in lessons
• Working 1:1 and with small groups
• Supporting pupils with additional needs
• Encouraging engagement and participation
• Reinforcing positive behaviour
• Supporting emotional regulation
• Helping pupils access the curriculum
• Building positive relationships
• Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is:

• Qualified or experienced as a Teaching Assistant
• Confident working with children and young people
• Experienced with SEND, SEMH or behaviour
• Patient, consistent and approachable
• Comfortable working as part of a wider team
• Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Passionate about helping pupils make progress
