Protocol Education is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 SEND support in a Gateshead school.

You'll gain experience working directly with a pupil while learning from experienced teachers and support staff.

The Opportunity

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll help the pupil:

• Access their lessons
• Stay engaged with learning
• Develop communication skills
• Manage emotions
• Build confidence
• Develop independence
• Navigate social situations
• Develop positive learning behaviours

You'll also observe how different strategies affect engagement and behaviour, giving you valuable practical insight alongside your academic knowledge.
