A vibrant secondary school in the heart of Redbridge is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Music Teacher from September for a full-time, long-term position. The school values creativity, performance, and cultural appreciation—qualities that are embedded across its Music department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who can inspire a love of music across genres and skill levels. You’ll be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to deliver A-Level content for the right candidate.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Delivering engaging, practical, and theory-based Music lessons to a diverse student body
- Teaching performance, composition, and music appreciation in line with national curriculum expectations
- Preparing students for GCSE Music and encouraging extracurricular participation in ensembles, choirs, and performances
- Using a range of resources and instruments to support inclusive, accessible music education
- Inspiring students to develop musical confidence and creativity both in and out of the classroom
- Contributing to the school’s performing arts programme through concerts, productions, or clubs
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Music at secondary level in the UK
- A broad knowledge of musical styles, history, and current curriculum requirements
- Skilled in using music technology and classroom instruments
- Confident leading ensembles or choirs and promoting performance opportunities
- Passionate about fostering a love of music and the arts in young people
