The Role
As an After School Club Assistant, you will help provide a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment for children at the end of the school day. You will support a range of activities, encourage positive behaviour, and help ensure children are well cared for until collection.
Responsibilities
- Supervising children aged 4 to 11 during after-school sessions
- Organising and supporting fun, creative and educational activities
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children
- Encouraging positive interactions and behaviour
- Assisting with snack time and daily routines
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Requirements
- Experience working with children, either in schools, childcare, clubs, camps or similar settings
- A positive, energetic and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
