Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Primary (HLTA)

Protocol Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Colchester from September on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is keen to progress, take on increased responsibility, and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and development.
The Role:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and covering classes when required
- Supporting pupils across the curriculum, both in class and through targeted interventions
- Contributing to planning, assessment, and pupil progress
- Working collaboratively with teachers and senior staff
- Supporting a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold HLTA status or have significant relevant experience
- Be confident supporting whole classes, small groups, and individual pupils
- Be motivated, proactive, and eager to develop professionally
- Have strong communication and classroom management skills
- Be passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential
