Protocol Education is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Teaching Assistant to work within a mainstream primary school in Colchester, starting in September on a full-time basis.
This role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs within the classroom, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:
- Providing targeted support to pupils with SEN within a mainstream primary setting
- Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation in the classroom
- Working one-to-one and in small groups
- Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Helping to create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous SEN experience (essential)
- Have experience working in a mainstream primary school
- Be calm, patient, and nurturing in their approach
- Be confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
