We’re working with a vibrant, inclusive primary setting with a specialist resource base designed to support children with a wide range of complex needs. It’s a place where relationships come first, small wins are celebrated, and no two days look the same.

The team here? Supportive, experienced, and full of people who genuinely enjoy what they do. It’s the kind of environment where you’ll feel valued, backed, and part of something bigger from day one.

What makes this setting special

There’s a real energy here. You’ll notice it straight away.

  • A close-knit team that supports each other and shares ideas openly
  • A child-centred approach where every decision starts with “what does this child need?”
  • A specialist provision within a mainstream school, giving children the best of both worlds
  • A curriculum built around exploration, play, and meaningful engagement
  • Strong partnerships with families and external professionals to support every child holistically

It’s inclusive, it’s dynamic, and it works.

The role

You’ll be supporting pupils within the specialist resource base, working closely with teachers and the wider team to help children access learning in a way that works for them.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Supporting children 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping pupils engage with learning through adapted and personalised approaches
  • Using strategies to support communication, including working with non-verbal learners
  • Encouraging social interaction, independence, and confidence
  • Contributing to a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals

What you’ll gain

This role is perfect if you’re passionate about SEND or thinking about a long-term career in education.

You’ll get:

  • Hands-on experience in a specialist setting with complex needs
  • Ongoing support from an experienced and welcoming team
  • Opportunities to develop skills in communication strategies and SEND support
  • Weekly team collaboration and reflection time
  • Exposure to multi-agency working and holistic pupil support

You won’t just be supporting learning, you’ll be building skills that stay with you for your whole career.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with children with SEND, in a school or similar setting
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for inclusion
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a team and is keen to learn
