A fantastic opportunity has become available for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Sunderland.
The successful candidate will support pupils who may display challenging behaviour and require additional emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Developing positive and trusting relationships
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- Encouraging engagement with learning
- Working alongside teachers and wider support teams
Experience within SEMH, PRU, behaviour support or specialist education would be highly desirable, although applicants with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
