We’re looking for supportive, resilient individuals who can help students with SEMH and mild learning difficulties navigate their day, manage emotions, and re-engage with learning at a pace that works for them.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils aged 11–19 with social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Offering calm guidance and structure when emotions run high
- Helping pupils settle back into learning after challenging moments
- Building trusting relationships through empathy, consistency, and clear communication
- Working closely with teachers, behaviour leads, and pastoral staff to keep support aligned
- Encouraging positive choices, resilience, and small daily wins
- Creating a safe, predictable environment that helps students feel secure and confident
Who We’d Love to Hear From
- Someone who stays steady under pressure and enjoys problem-solving
- Experience in SEMH, youth work, mentoring, care, or coaching is helpful (but not essential)
- A strong communicator who builds rapport quickly with teenagers
- A team player who brings positivity, patience, and reliability
- Someone who genuinely wants to make school feel like a safe place for every young person
