Contract: Full-time, long-term

Looking for a role that really matters?

We’re working with a specialist school supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical and physical needs. They’re looking for a compassionate, resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time.

This is a hands-on role where your support genuinely changes lives. No two days are the same, but every day comes with purpose, progress, and plenty of heart.

What your days will look like

  • Supporting pupils with complex learning, physical, and medical needs

  • Assisting with personal care, mobility, and feeding routines

  • Using specialist equipment and communication tools, with full training provided

  • Creating a calm, safe, and sensory-rich environment where pupils can thrive

What we’re looking for

  • A calm, caring, and adaptable approach

  • Resilience and a willingness to get stuck in and learn new skills

  • Experience in SEND, care, or relevant lived or personal experience

  • A big heart and a team-first mindset, kindness really matters here

What you’ll get from Protocol Education

  • Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella companies

  • Free access to our online CPD Academy

  • Opportunities to upskill in Moving and Handling and Personal Care, where required

  • A dedicated SEND consultant who understands the realities of specialist settings

  • Long-term opportunities in schools that value and support support staff

Whether you’ve worked in SEND before or you’re ready to turn lived experience into a meaningful career, this could be your next step.
