Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Ferryhill, Durham (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is working with welcoming schools in Ferryhill, Durham to recruit experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants for full-time positions starting this September.

You'll work alongside class teachers to support learning, deliver focused interventions and provide individual assistance where needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an important part of a supportive school team.

Role Details

• Full-time
• September 2026 start
• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-3:30pm or 8:30am-4:00pm
• Term-time only
• Long-term position with permanent opportunities

What you'll be doing

• Supporting pupils across the curriculum
• Leading small-group learning activities
• Providing one-to-one support when required
• Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
• Preparing and organising classroom resources
• Encouraging positive behaviour and participation
• Helping pupils work towards their individual targets

We're looking for

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous experience working in a school
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, caring and proactive approach
• Ability to work effectively alongside teachers and support staff
