Re-engagement Focus

Full-Time | 9:00am – 3:00pm | Long-Term

This role is about rebuilding trust, not just supporting learning.

We’re working with a specialist SEN provision in Sunderland supporting young people with EHCPs, autism, SEMH needs, and communication difficulties who require dedicated 1:1 support to re-engage with education.

The role:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support to a student with an EHCP
  • Help re-establish routines, engagement, and confidence in learning
  • Support both academic work and emotional regulation
  • Adapt approaches to meet individual needs

What makes this role different:

  • You’ll be the key adult in that student’s school day
  • You’ll play a central role in re-engagement and progress
  • You’ll build a strong, trusting relationship over time

We’re looking for:

  • Experience with SEN (especially autism or SEMH)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Someone who understands that progress can be small but significant

What’s on offer:

  • September start
  • Long-term stability
  • Opportunity to become permanent
