Ready to help young people understand the world around them?

We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Telford that’s looking for a passionate Geography Teacher to join their team.

This is a school where high expectations meet genuine care. Pupils are encouraged to be curious, share their ideas, and develop the confidence to think independently. Respect, responsibility, and resilience are part of everyday school life, creating a calm and purposeful environment where both students and staff can thrive.

Geography is at the heart of helping pupils make sense of the world beyond the classroom. Here, lessons aren’t just about maps, graphs, and case studies, they’re about exploring real issues that shape our lives, from climate change and sustainability to global development and cultural diversity.

You’ll be the person who brings these topics to life. The teacher who sparks those “ah, I get it now” moments. The one who helps students connect what they learn in the classroom with the world outside it.

Whether you’re exploring physical landscapes, human geography, or the challenges facing communities across the globe, you’ll have the freedom to create lessons that inspire curiosity and encourage pupils to ask big questions.

Values, Safeguarding and Curriculum

The school promotes fundamental British values throughout daily life, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for others. Diversity, inclusion, and open discussion are embedded across the curriculum, encouraging pupils to understand and appreciate different perspectives.

Through RP, PSHE, SMSC, assemblies, tutor time, and wider learning opportunities, students explore important topics including world faiths, online safety, and social responsibility.

Safeguarding is a key priority. All staff play an important role in keeping pupils safe, following clear procedures and working closely with safeguarding leads whenever concerns arise.
