Protocol Education are recruiting a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism and additional needs in Gateshead.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical SEND experience while developing your understanding of communication, behaviour, emotional regulation and individual development.
Your Day Could Include
- Providing 1:1 support
- Supporting small-group activities
- Helping pupils access lessons
- Supporting communication and interaction
- Encouraging social development
- Supporting emotional regulation
- Helping pupils manage transitions
- Promoting independence
- Encouraging positive behaviour
- Building trusting relationships
You'll work closely with experienced teachers and support staff, giving you the opportunity to learn how different strategies can help individual pupils.
