The role

We are working with a welcoming 11–18 secondary school to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across KS3–KS5. This role involves 1:1 and small group support, helping students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs access the curriculum and build confidence.

Key responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, or other additional learning needs

  • Build strong, professional relationships with pupils

  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people in school, youth work, or care

  • Patient, adaptable, and nurturing

  • Confident supporting behaviour and engagement in a secondary setting

  • SEN experience is desirable but not essential

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
