English Teacher
Middlesbrough | Full-Time | September Start | KS3 & KS4
Protocol Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to join a secondary school in Middlesbrough on a full-time basis from September.
The successful candidate will be confident teaching English across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support students to make strong progress. The role would also suit a teacher who is willing to take some General Cover classes when required, providing valuable flexibility to the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and differentiated lessons
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and engagement
- Contribute positively to the wider English Department and school community
- Provide General Cover lessons when required
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 English
- Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
- High expectations of student achievement and behaviour
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Adaptable and willing to support with General Cover
- Passionate about helping students develop their literacy, confidence and love of English
