You’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned Maths lessons and ensuring students stay motivated, supported, and on track with their learning.
This role is ideal for both experienced teachers looking for flexibility, or Maths ECTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience and build relationships with schools to springboard into a long-term career. Successful applicants will bring subject knowledge, energy, and the ability to build positive relationships with both staff and students, giving you the opportunity to find the right school community for you. ✨ What the job looks like:
• Confidently delivering pre-planned Maths lessons, ensuring strong ratios of student engagement and completion
• Managing behaviour with both consistency and warmth
• Supporting students with professionalism, encouragement, and patience
• Collecting and organising completed work for the use of the classroom teacher
• Reporting back on learning progress and behaviour for the use of the classroom teacher
✅ Requirements:
• UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
• Strong subject knowledge and behaviour management skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work with different classes
• A positive, flexible and reliable approach
